|Description: ||The Tracking Board wants to discover new talent, provide opportunities not found anywhere else, and help open the doors that will launch your career. These are the core ideas from which The Launch Pad Competition was born.|
|Objective: ||The Launch Pad isn't a competition where you enter, make it to the finals, win and nothing happens. Our staff attempts to push every project that makes the top 25 out to agents, managers, producers, executives and studios. We aren’t just looking to find a winner; we want to open doors for our finalists and semi-finalists too! The Tracking Board knows that there are a lot of great scripts and writers out there, and some of them just need an opportunity to shine.|

|Rules: ||The contest is open to entrants 18 or older. It is an international contest and open to entrants worldwide.|
All scripts must be in English.
Scripts submitted must be original works, or the writer must retain the rights to the work submitted with proof of ownership.
You must own the rights to the script and all characters within.
Script cannot be currently under any option or purchase agreement.
Scripts can have been previously optioned, however, all rights must be available at the time of submission and for the duration of the contest.
“TB Recommends” scripts cannot be entered.
No script which has previously made the Top 25 in a Launch Pad Competition may be entered.
Scripts with multiple writers are allowed, but must be submitted by one writer.
Once a script has been accepted, there are no substitution of pages, drafts, or scripts.
Writers may submit as many scripts as they would like.
General script entries will not receive feedback, however, you can opt to upgrade and receive feedback on your script submission. Feedback MUST be purchased with submission order and cannot be added on later.
All scripts are read a minimum of two times to ensure fair judging.
To ensure fair judging, all scripts must be submitted with a cover page containing only the script title, without any of the writer’s names or discernible marks. Scripts submitted with a name or identifying mark on ANY page will be disqualified.
TB and all judges/readers will utilize whatever criteria they deem appropriate in deciding a winner.
Entrants may be contacted as a result of the contest by TB, the judging panel, or other industry professionals in regards to representation, production, sale and/or option of the entered work.
All scripts will remain the property of the respective writer(s). At no point will judging panel, readers, or TB attach themselves to a script without the writer’s consent.
Entrants are under no obligation to sell their work or otherwise attach themselves to representation in any form.
Late Submissions MUST be received by 11:59pm on August 22nd (PDT), regardless of when the payment is made.
All purchases are final and no refunds will be issued.
|Prizes and Awards: ||The winning script will be sent out individually to agents, managers, executives, and producers.|
The script will be sent out to our industry insider list of over 5,500 people.
The Tracking Board will do an exclusive interview with our winning writer(s) to be featured on our site.
The Top 25 scripts will be announced on The Launch Pad website and The Tracking Board website.
The Top 25 will be sent to our esteemed judging panel to be read as well as circulated to industry professionals.
Semi-finalist's names will be included in the "Honoree" section of the Year End Spec Market book, published by The Tracking Board.
Semi-finalists will be invited to join our Launch Pad / TB Recommends alumni program.
Semi-finalists will have mini profiles listed on The Launch Pad website.

That's more than 50% of the best of the best in the past 4 years. But beyond that, our judges set up more than 100 feature and pilot specs in 2013, represented the most writers on The Young & Hungry List (Rob Herting, Zachary Carlisle), took the top Manger of the Year (Brooklyn Weaver) and top Agent of the Year (Mike Esola) award in 2013.|
